8 Stunning Botanical Velvet Fabrics

As the maximalism trend blazes on, velvet upholstery is becoming more popular than ever. We've compiled a list of our favourite botanical velvet fabrics that provide a decadent luxury worthy of the Palace of Versailles.

1. Maroque Lazurite - Black Edition

Intricate layers and elaborate detailing are considerately positioned to create a large scale Moroccan inspired damask, digitally printed on a fine viscose velvet.

2. Erbusco Mopane - Black Edition

The epitome of luxury, this textural velvet features an elegant damask design created to have the appearance of a deep emboss.

4. Lombardo Vermillion - Romo

A sumptuous soft velvet featuring a unique painterly design, cleverly created through layers of colour and pattern to convey an aged appearance, where layers of historic artistry are peeled back to reveal a hidden damask. Note: Please be aware this fabric has a Martindale rub count of 30,000; we recommend a minimum of 40,000 for contract use, so this fabric would be better suited to cushions and soft furnishings in a hospitality environment.

5. Royal Garden Velvet - Sapphire - G P & J Baker

GP & J Baker’s collaboration with Historic Royal Palaces, including The Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace and Kensington Palace, has provided a wealth of inspiration for this special collection. Elements of their spectacular architecture, gardens and interiors have been assembled to create dazzling designs in ‘Royal Gardens’, ‘Royal Weaves’ and ‘King’s Velvet’. In this sample butterflies flit between beautiful blooms.

6. Pleasure Gardens Velvet - Black Edition by Romo

Contemporary impressionist painter Jessica Zoob creates bright new worlds rich in imagination yet gently infused by emotion. Working in collaboration with Romo Black Edition she has created the 'Desire' collection and her emotionally charged paintings have translated beautifully onto fabrics, wallcoverings and cushions. This joyous collection includes intricately printed fine linens, striking panels, exquisite velvets, dramatic wallcoverings and divine cushions.
