We are delighted that hospitality venues are being allowed to open and that the social distancing rules have been eased. Although our industry and much of the country is still a long way from normal, the direction of travel is positive. We too are hoping for a return to normality; the update below shows reasons for some optimism:
The European furniture supply chain is now fully up and running again. Almost every factory has re-opened, churning through backlogs of orders. The only closures on the horizon are the regular August factory shutdowns in Europe, although for some factories, the length of the shutdown may be reduced.
Our lead-times are edging back towards normality, currently 6-8 weeks on average. As ever, they depend on exact specifications and the factories involved. August factory shutdowns may increase lead times – we can advise you if this is likely to be relevant.
Our ever-expanding "Quick Ship" range remains available at short notice.
Sales Office and Showroom
We are still very alert to the pandemic, so most of us are still working remotely, with a skeleton staff visiting the office as necessary. A number of us remain furloughed, reflecting the drop in business over the last few months.
Our showroom is again very much open for visitors during normal working hours and customers are welcome to arrange showroom visits, although this does need to be by appointment. We have ample space to maintain social distancing and also parking if you come by car.
Please do get in touch with any questions, about an order, or about your future plans. We are here to help.
In the meantime we all send our many customers the very best wishes in this difficult time.
